What should I do if the Contacts Journal app stops syncing with iCloud?

 If the Contacts Journal app gets stuck, or is unable to download new data from iCloud, and you have waited over 10-15 minutes, you can try the following options:
  • Force-quit the app [follow the directions in “Useful Shortcuts”] and open it again
  • Restart your devices, by powering it down and powering back up, then open Contacts Journal again and see if it picks up the changes
  • Make sure all devices are on iOS8 / 10.10 Yosemite, and that "iCloud Drive" is On from iCloud settings
  • Turn off iCloud sync from the device that seems stuck; then wait 5 minutes and then enable iCloud again
  • If that doesn’t work either, follow the steps given below for “iCloud Reset”
