  1. A TODO title should post the todo, not the contact name.

    Currently when I make a new TODO, I give it a title. When that TODO shows up in my iCal, it shows me a contact name instead of the TODO title that I've given. TODO should relate to the action, not just the contact.

  2. Search for dedicated Field content

    When searching for custom field content, CJ always searches in every field. However content in different fields can have different purposed (e.g. a company name might be listed in a field „Partner“, „Vendor“ etc).

    So if I want to look for all contacts which do have a relationship to Vendor XYZ, I‘d need to filter this way.

    To do this I suggest to allow field names as a search key in the search field. So if I enter: 

    Vendor:XYZ

    In the search phrase, only contacts will get listed where in the Vendor field XYZ is listed. But contacts where XYZ…

  4. Extend custom fields type for contacts

    I'd like to have the possibility to add, e.g. custom hyperlinks or contacts links (e.g. to have a direct link of the contact who made me know a specific person).

  6. Hide todo tab view

    I'm a huge fan of OmniFocus. I'd like to have the possibility to hide the todo tab, useless to me, and/or possibly to link each todo tab to a OmniFocus context/project.

  7. Add new contacts directly into "default" group.

    Allow me to set a default Group and add new contacts freely to that group without having to view all groups, and then add that contact, and then select that contact, and then place them in a particular group.

  8. Add a sharing blog (similar to this page) for posting ideas and tips, personalizing the CRM, what has worked for users.

    A forum for users to share their experience would be great.

  10. Related Names

    it would be great if the “related names” from Contacts would sync over, and if Contacts Journal could expand on that functionality. There could be a visual tree of related names, drag and drop to link names (with a pop-up for relationship type).

    The related-names features that MonicaHQ just added would be a good place to start for ideas.

  16. Pipeline

    This is a great and simple CRM. Allow group subfolders in contacts. Allow custom naming of the folders. Option to turn on a record # count to the right of the name. This would allow for a visual pipeline to be created by users. And a quick reference of how many contacts are in what stage of the pipeline.

    Option to force contact records to be sorted by date created.

  20. Show related emails by contact

    Automatically collect emails and attach them to each contact. When I open the contact, I would see a payne with all emails to and from any emails listed on the contact. Great for tracking business, volunteer and personal coorespondance by person.
